Local Highway Improvements
Denby Dale Road / Charleswoth Way, Wakefield & M62 J32 & Colorado Way, Glashoughton – June 2009
As local people may be aware, the sections of highway mentioned above are in a desperate state of repair, this is mainly due to the sub-base slag material used when laying the roads absorbing excess moisture; this has caused the material to expand to unforeseeable proportions rendering the roads very bumpy. Wakefield Metropolitan District Council have now identified these issues and are now taking actions to relay the roads.
FGB were asked to provide accurate topographical surveys of these sections of highway and provide digital survey data in a Moss Genio Format, for the councils highway design team to prepare a specification for the roads to be built.
