Mineral Surveying
Surveys of surface and underground mineral workings are undertaken to provide accurate plans of operations for a multitude of uses such as design, valuation, auditing, restoration, planning work, reserve assessment soil volumes and earth moving contract payment. The surveyors are experienced in shaft surveying, underground surveying and land survey techniques for mineral operations including identifying geological phenomena and ecological areas. Boreholes and trial pits are also surveyed for design work and volume calculations.
Most authorities and the Mines Act require accurate plans to be kept of the quarry or pit and these plans are produced using the latest terrain modelling packages to produce coloured plans on paper, film or PDF.
